Thin White - 2022

 Thin White, 3 years old and full of optimism. She's Fat Whites sister and came to the fields as a lamb.

I have a special bond with this floof ball. She required foot treatment by the vets, beginning August 2021. The problem only got worse and as we approached a wet and damp winter (terrible weather for sheep and their feet). I was determined, to keep at it with her, despite the costs and time.

Come end of Oct, she was placed inside the stables with Old Lady for company. Little did I know that twice a day treatment and Vet visits would go on for 3 months. Come January the Vet told me, it's game over for her and said she can go in the field for one last week of freedom, before I make the call.

That week past. I didn't make the phone call and another week went by, still doing okay. By some magic of the woodland fairys, she was healed.

Thin White is fully healed and the strongest ewe out of the flock today. She's the first to spot you, first to bleat and run toward. Always at my side or on the follow, when I'm in their fields. She's a trooper and chipper soul.
